But what happens when internal communications from the very organization responsible for setting international standards tell a different story? In this episode of Grey Matter, Leighton Grey is joined by journalist, researcher, and gender policy analyst Mia Hughes to discuss the leaked **WPATH Files**, their implications for youth gender medicine, and the broader questions surrounding medical ethics, ideology, public policy, and mental health. For decades, the global financial system has been built on debt, central banking, and fiat currencies. But what happens when that system reaches its limits? In this episode of Grey Matter, Leighton Grey welcomes financial author and precious metals analyst John Rubino to examine why gold continues to reach new highs, why central banks are buying record amounts of gold, and whether the world is moving toward a fundamental monetary reset. Together, they explore: Why gold remains in a long-term bull market The growing global debt crisis and the risks of fiat currencies Why central banks are accumulating gold instead of selling it The outlook for silver and precious metals How inflation, deficits, and monetary policy are reshaping the global economy Whether a return to sound money or some form of gold-backed system is becoming more likely What investors should understand about physical gold, silver, mining stocks, and the coming financial transition Whether you're interested in economics, investing, precious metals, or the future of the global monetary system, this conversation offers a thought-provoking look at the forces reshaping the world's financial landscape.

What happens when you reach the absolute summit of your lifelong dream, only to realize the treasure you were seeking wasn't there?
In this powerful episode of the Grey Matter Podcast, host Leighton Grey KC sits down with former NHL player and Bonnyville, Alberta native Brinson Pasichnuk. Brinson shares his incredible journey from a small-town kid playing alongside his brother Steen to scaling the "1% of 1%" heights of elite hockey at Arizona State University and the San Jose Sharks organization.
But behind the stats and pro contracts lies a profound story of deep personal struggle—navigating crippling childhood anxiety, family bankruptcy, and a debilitating battle with celiac disease at the peak of his pro career. Brinson opens up about the culture shock of a massive secular campus, the exact moment he surrendered his life to God on a kitchen floor, and how he brought a transformative faith movement right into the dressing room.
Now thriving as a mentor and elite junior hockey coach in his hometown, Brinson delivers a beautiful testament to resilience, spiritual identity, and discovering a calling far greater than the game itself.

Solomon shares his objective, unbiased approach to chronicling Rowling’s tumultuous life—from her complex relationship with her father and experiences with domestic abuse to the deeper Christian and messianic themes woven directly into the fabric of Harry Potter.
The conversation also dives into Solomon’s background as a homeschooled author of ten books, his previous biography of legal titan Alan Dershowitz (Legal Gladiator), the critical importance of defending the constitutional rule of law, and his next massive undertaking: an objective biography of Donald Trump.🍁 THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS 🍁 Puurathletics.ca: Thanks to our sponsor Puurathletics.ca! In this week's Grey Matter Commentary, Leighton Grey K.C. uses Friedrich Nietzsche’s "Parable of the Tarantula" to unmask the technocratic corporate web squeezing the lifeblood out of Canada’s economy and working class.
Leighton breaks down the deep, multi-generational institutional capture running from Wall Street and McKinsey consultancies straight through to the federal political apparatus, highlighting names like Carney, Barton, and the powerful legacy families controlling Canada's financial trajectory. From the weaponization of "woke thinking" to the economic realities of the Canada Infrastructure Bank and CPP investment pipelines, this episode dives deep into why standard political measures are no longer working. Leighton argues that the only true pathway to escape the globalist trap and restore inherited Western principles is Alberta Independence.

This Father’s Day, we are doing something deeply personal. In this special episode, I trace my Indigenous heritage back through the generations of the Grey Eyes clan—a proud Nakota (Assiniboine) family from the Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation. From ancestors rumored to be at the Battle of Little Bighorn to a World War I Sapper who risked court-martial to save a life in Belgium, our history is one of immense bravery, survival, and service. But it is also a history marked by the harsh realities of Canada’s residential school system, systemic assimilation, and the intergenerational trauma that followed. Join me as I share the incredible stories of:
• Sapper Burrell Grey: A WWI veteran, humanitarian, and community elder.
• Winnifred (Winnie) Grey: A resilient residential school survivor who endured the heavy weight of generational trauma.
• My Father, Len (1941–2022): A former gang youth turned community hero who founded the Spiritkeeper Youth Society (SKYS) in Edmonton, dedicating his life to saving Indigenous youth from the streets.
This is a story about the wounds we inherit, the resilience we forge, and the generational tradition of lifting our people up. Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers and protectors out there.
